When & why: fairway woods
It’s never easy to know when you should be pulling out your fairway wood, but we’re here with a solution that makes the decision less painful.
You might think that you’re worried about hitting your driver because you’re worried about making a mistake. But what you’re actually afraid of is the consequence of that mistake, which is why minimising the risk lets you be confident, not cautious, with driver in hand.
You can do this by minimising the effects of miss-hits. For example, in the above illustration, if you miss it too far to the right then your ball is going swimming and your scorecard is taking a real hit.
If you take a look at Titleist’s TSi driver range then you’ll see them doing exactly that. The multi-dimensional stability gives you plenty of forgiveness, helping to keep bad shots (we all have them) in play. That lets you give it a good old whack and get further down the fairway without fear of finding the water.
While these drivers all offer that forgiveness, each of the four models (TSi1, TSi2, TSi3 & TSi4) gives you unique performance features. We hope the video above gives you a better idea of which one is right for you.
